Friends (from left to right, below) Gloria (8), Evie (4), Isabella (8), Fern (7), Rory (7),
Seren (11) and Lily (7) got together to plan an impressive event to raise money for their
local RSPCA branch.
"There were tricks, jokes, magic, dancing, and a super cool poi routine (a performance using
balls on a string) by Seren to 'Shake it off'," says Fern's mum, Lucy. "The tickets were £2
each and they also sold
cakes and drinks."
The group raised an
incredible £100 for RSPCA
Radcliffe Animal Centre,
and were given a special
tour of the centre.
Sounds like an
excellent event,
everyone!
When 10-year-old Darley decided
to raise money for charity, he picked
the RSPCA because he loves animals.
He set a cycling challenge of 80km -
making up the distance on bike rides
to school, and at weekends with
Mum, Dad, and brother Turner.
"Finding the time was tricky," says Darley's
mum Katie. "So I arranged a trip to see the
work that goes on at RSPCA Leybourne Animal
Centre, and Darley got to see exactly what he
was cycling for. He ended up raising a massive
£500 - smashing his £150 target!"
Great work, Darley!
